Introducing our newest series, Fluidform Anywhere, where we interview friends of Fluidform about their recent travels and how they incorporate Fluidform into their holiday.
Starting off with Samantha Brown, a friend of Fluidform, who recently visited Mexico and LA. Sam is a creative consultant with her own business ‘The Other Edit’.
Hi Sam, where have you recently travelled with Fluidform and where did you stay?
We recently got back from Mexico & LA. We stayed at the newly opened One & Only Mandarina which was pure heaven, we splurged as we actually eloped there which was super special. In LA, we stayed at the Santa Monica Proper hotel and also an Airbnb in Manhattan Beach which we loved as was very practical with a toddler.
What are three things you took with you?
My beautiful wedding dress from Matteau, my film camera & my FFAH pack of course.
What are your three favourite Fluidform workouts to do, away from home?
I always love getting stuck into the challenges. The FFYB 2.0 PART ONE: FORM – ADVANCED coincided when we were away which was perfect timing. I find the challenges help me stay motivated and physically/mentally strong while running around after a toddler most days. It’s that 20mins of me time I value so much.
What was your favourite post-movement nourishment?
I always love and crave a big green smoothie, usually with almond milk, almond butter, PEARL collagen, spinach and blueberries. On holidays, I was loving omelettes!
How do you stay moving and healthy on holidays?
I try and hold onto as much of my normal morning routine as possible as I feel it just sets me up for a positive day.
What is your favourite way to unwind on holidays?
I really soaked up the facilities of One & Only Mandarina while we were toddler free. FFAH, followed by a sauna and ice bath on repeat, a long massage, relaxing in the sun and plenty of dips in ocean.
So, where to next?
I dream of exploring Europe again, or heading to Sri Lanka or South Africa. I always love exploring somewhere new and would love to show Cali all parts of the world. However more practically for us would be to Noosa, Byron or Yamba for some downtime in the summer!
