On July 25th, clients and friends of Fluidform experienced an evening of movement, nourishment and conversations with Fluidform founder, Kirsten King. Guests experienced a signature Fluidform workout, followed by dinner and drinks over a Q&A with Kirsten and Fluidform studio owner, Jenny.
Jenny shared her own personal experience with Fluidform – from client to instructor to studio owner, and the moment she left the corporate world to pursue her passion for helping people.
Jenny came from a corporate background and was always interested in fitness. Before discovering Pilates, she preferred high impact, high intensity training. When Jenny did her first Reformer class at Fluidform, she struggled with the concept of slower, more considered movements using body weight or low resistance.
Kirsten King says, “At Fluidform, we say to our new clients, “give-in to Pilates.” You have to trust the process, this is when the change happens.”
Jenny shared how after just a few sessions she was completely moved by Fluidform, “The more I was doing it the more change I experienced. My body has changed, completely changed.”
As a new mum, working for a corporate company, Jenny was struggling with finding her identity. “Being a teacher is the last thing I thought I would do. I came from a corporate environment. I didn’t think I would be teaching people something. I didn’t think I was capable of doing that and didn’t have the confidence.”
It was the support of Jenny’s husband and family which started the conversation around opening her own studio. Jenny’s connection to the brand – from her own practice as a client, through to the guidance she received as a student and the support she had behind her as a new teacher, it was a natural evolution in Jenny’s journey to open a Fluidform studio, in her local community of Bondi.
Jenny is now the owner of Fluidform Bondi and Fluidform North Bondi. She teaches across both studios and has built a strong team of instructors – passionate about balancing the bodies of clients and making a significant impact on their lives, through movement. Everyday, Jenny is reminded of the power of Pilates on the mind and body.
