Are you suffering 'Wellbeing Burnout"? You’re not alone.

Are you suffering ‘Wellbeing Burnout”? You’re not alone.

The Lululemon 2024 Global Wellbeing Report found 1 in 2 people are experiencing “wellbeing burnout.” And 63% of these people feel powerless when it comes to improving their wellbeing.

The study found that while the importance of wellbeing increases, so do the pressures we feel to keep up. But on the flip side, global wellbeing is stagnant. We are chasing our own tails to achieve “wellness”, while burning ourselves out in the process.

We know that “burnout” is real and happening. An article published by Well+Good explored the concept of burnout accelerated by cultural pressures – financial, personal, professional and tools to reduce feelings of stress and burnout. Seeking support, asking for help, maximising the small “free” times and being kind to yourself were notable mentions.

A recent topic covered by the Sydney Morning Herald stated “nearly half of Australians feel stressed by the pressure to appear “well”, even if they’re already ticking the boxes of wellbeing.”

So, at what point are we undoing the effects of maximising our wellbeing, by the pressures of achieving ultimate wellness?

The constant pressure to achieve optimum wellbeing brings fatigue. At Fluidform, we see this in the studios and online. New clients will come to us and say “I’ve been doing HIIT for years and feel depleted” or “I’ve lost my joy for exercise, how can I be consistent with something I don’t enjoy?”

Fluidform takes a personalised approach to movement, which has many benefits. If something has been tailored to your needs and your body, chances are it will bring a sense of enjoyment.

Fluidform teaches a considered movement form, a combination of small equipment with isometric and isotonic holds, layered sequences and high repetitions to strengthen your muscles in a functional way. Meaning, these movements compliment your day to day movements, rather than place strain or pressure on your joints. We call this a low-impact, high-intensity way of moving which sees transformative results, that doesn’t leave you feeling depleted, or worse, imbalanced and injured.

Fluidform is a results-driven movement method which has proven to transform bodies and lives around the world. The movement method takes individual needs, imbalances and goals and programs a personalised movement routine, promising results in just 21 days. When you cannot feel the difference, flogging your body becomes unenjoyable and unmotivating. Fluidform teaches a sustainable movement method which will continue to challenge and support you, no matter your fitness level or performance.

Lastly, Fluidform teaches a holistic approach to wellbeing. We cannot rely purely on exercise to achieve “wellness”. Wellness stems from a balanced lifestyle, a plant and protein-rich diet to fuel your body, recovery tools to reset your mind and body, relaxation rituals to manage stress and moods, and social connections to support your emotional wellbeing and restore your energy.

So, how can Fluidform help you reignite your love of movement, without running you into the ground or overwhelming you with “wellness” noise? We might not have all the answers, but here are some places to start.

  • A personalised movement program. All studio clients and online members receive a personalised program when they join Fluidform, tailored to your individual needs and goals.
  • Find movement which makes you feel strong from within. Eliminate aspects of your life which add to your fatigue and exhaustion. You can build strength and achieve goals without punishing your body in the gym.
  • Set realistic goals and a path to achieving them.
  • Embrace a holistic approach to wellbeing. Don’t put all your eggs in one basket or place restrictions and limitations.

So, if you are suffering ‘Wellbeing Burnout” – you’re not alone.
